Small group, so everybody speaks

Being good at what you do is not the same as being known for it

The invitation lands and your stomach churns.

So you say yes and spend the fortnight before it wishing you hadn't. Or you say no, and watch somebody with half your expertise take the platform instead.

6
You're better than your competitors. They are better known.

The work goes to the person people have heard of, not the person who would do the better job. You know this. It is one of the more maddening facts of running a business.

8
The talk went well. Nothing came of it.

People said kind things afterwards. Somebody took a card. Then the week moved on, no enquiries arrived, and you were never quite sure what you'd missed.

2
Every time, you start from scratch.

Last month's talk does nothing to make this month's easier, or more likely, or more profitable. There is no system underneath it, so nothing accumulates.

5

Learning to speak with impact is just one part of it

Delivery matters. How you stand, how you structure a talk, how you hold a room. It’s where we start, and it’s what Breakthrough Public Speaking has become known for.

It is also one part of five. Being clear on your message is a separate skill. So is getting visible to the right people, converting an audience into clients, and building momentum so that one engagement leads to the next.

Get all five working together, and speaking stops being something you do occasionally and becomes a way to grow your business.

The Breakthrough Speaker Growth Framework

A five-part framework for turning speaking into influence, opportunities and revenue. The Speakers Club takes you through it across twelve months.

1

message

Knowing what to say

Your audience, your credibility, and the one idea you want to be known for.

2

delivery

Making it land

Technique, storytelling and engagement, so the room stays with you throughout.

3

visibility

Being discovered by the right people

Content and marketing, getting booked, and the partnerships that put you in front of the right rooms.

4

conversion

Generating revenue from speaking

The audience journey, the offer you make, and how a talk becomes a conversation and then a client.

5

momentum

Turning every opportunity into more

Referrals, testimonials, and capturing the footage that wins you the next booking.

Build two things.

Use them everywhere.

Five stages to work through.
Two assets to walk away with.
One clear message that travels with you everywhere.

The framework is what you learn. Your speaker assets are what you build with it, and they are what you still own long after the year ends.

What happens after twelve months?

Membership runs for a year at a time. At the end of it, you decide whether to carry on to the Advanced Club.

Members who join the Advanced Club move into a second year with a different focus. Where the first year builds your message and your delivery, the second puts them to work: being discovered by the right people, generating revenue from your speaking, and turning every opportunity into the next one.

Same club, same price, new ground.

Quarterly events

Club Members also have opportunities to speak at Breakthrough Public Speaking’s quarterly events, giving you experience, exposure, and footage you can use.

This is also a great opportunity to network and meet other business owners who use public speaking for business growth.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No. Membership is twelve months. Some members stay for a second year because the programme moves on to new ground, but that is a decision you make at the end of your first year, not now.

Then you are in good company, and you won’t be the first. The first few months cover messaging and delivery before anything else, and the group is small enough that nobody is thrown in at the deep end. Confidence is something we build here, not something you need before you arrive.

Good, and many members are. Confidence is the starting point here rather than the destination. The year is about turning speaking you are already decent at into something that generates visibility, bookings and work.

Message and delivery are where change shows up fastest, and those come first, so most members notice a difference in how they come across within the first couple of months. The commercial side, being booked and converting an audience, builds steadily across the year.

Small, deliberately. Everybody speaks, everybody gets feedback, and everybody knows everybody by the second or third session. It’s not a room you can sit at the back of.

They are yours to direct. Members typically use them to build a specific talk, prepare for an upcoming event, or go deeper on something raised in the group. They are booked when you need them rather than on a fixed schedule.

There is a ninety day notice period. In practice Sarina applies it with common sense, and members going through genuine difficulty have always been treated flexibly.

For this club, yes. Sessions are in person and that is a large part of what makes them work. If you are further afield, say so on your application, as an online group is something we are considering.

A short form about you, your business and what you want speaking to do for you. It is read personally rather than scored, and it exists so that the room is right for everybody in it.

Meet the trainer:

Sarina Mann

Sarina is a communication keynote speaker, public speaking coach and trainer, and founder of the Speakers’ Community. Sarina began her speaking journey as an introvert struggling with stage fright and became an award-winning speaker and communication expert.

Her personal experience has shaped a powerful methodology that transforms how individuals and organisations communicate. It’s based on the knowledge that being a great speaker is something you learn and not something you naturally have or don’t have.

“Your business does need you to speak up for it with confidence if it is going to make it and I cannot recommend Sarina enough when it comes to helping you to do that.”
Richard Hiron, employment law solicitor

“Sarina possesses a unique and remarkable ability to pinpoint and identify precisely what I needed to captivate and engage my audience. Her insights and guidance have been nothing short of transformative.”  Debbie Moreton, CEO of Step by Step
